Our doctors lecture in Australia and internationally. They act as advisors to government, lawyers and industry and consult at the Poche Centre, Melanoma Institute of Australia.

Dr Peter Lye
Medical Director

Dr Lye is a highly respected figure in skin cancer medicine in Australia, holding qualifications in Medicine, Surgery, and Dermatology from universities in Sydney, Monash & Cardiff UK. He currently serves as a Lecturer at the University of Sydney. He holds appointments as a Hearing Member for the Medical Council of NSW and NCAT Medical Tribunals. Dr Lye's contributions to the field extend across numerous committees and institutions: he has served on committees for the NSW Cancer Institute and NSW Melanoma Network, worked as a visiting clinician at the Sydney Melanoma Unit at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and is a member of both the Skin Cancer College Australasia and the Australian Medicial Association. Dr Lye has also assisted in clinical trials for the Melanoma Vaccine, Selective Lymphadectomy, and SolarScan. He was among the first doctors in Australia to adopt analogue & digital dermoscopy, and has since been called upon as an adviser to government bodies, legal firms, and organisations including SBS Broadcasting and the State Transit Authority.

Dr Louisa Zhang

Dr Louisa Zhang is a graduate of the University of New South Wales in Bachelor of Medicine and Doctor of Medicine, and holds a Certificate in Dermoscopy. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia, an Associate Lecturer at Macquarie University and an RACGP examiner. Dr Zhang’s practice involves all aspects of skin cancer medicine. Outside medicine, her interests include reading a good book, travelling and playing violin, guitar and piano.

Dr Vicky Michalopoulos

Dr Michalopoulos is a graduate of the University of Sydney in Medicine and Surgery and holds certificates in Skin Cancer Medicine and Dermoscopy. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. Dr Michalopoulos’ practice involves all areas of skin cancer medicine. Outside of work Vicky enjoys gardening, travel and spending time with family and friends.

Dr Michael Kim

Dr Kim is a graduate of the University of Sydney in Medicine and Surgery and is a Fellow of the Royal Australia College of General Practitioners. He holds certificates in Dermoscopy, Skin Cancer Medicine and Skin Cancer Surgery. Dr Kim's practice involves all aspects of skin cancer medicine. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, sports, and spending time with his dog.

Dr Shreyas Prabhala

Dr Prabhala is a graduate of the University of New South Wales in Medicine & Surgery, holds a Certificate in Dermoscopy and Skin Cancer Medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. Outside medicine, his interests include running and spending time with his family.

Dr Robert Kennedy

Dr Kennedy is a graduate of Sydney University in Medicine & Surgery, holds a Certificate in Dermoscopy, and completed degrees in Arts and Science before that. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. Dr Kennedy’s practice involves all aspects of skin cancer medicine. Outside medicine, his interests include birdwatching, playing the piano, and reading science fiction.

Dr Jeffrey Chow

Dr Chow is dual-qualified in Medicine (University of Newcastle) and Dentistry (University of Sydney), and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. His main clinical interest lies in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. Dr Chow has built extensive experience in this field, having worked as a resident in the Departments of Dermatology, and Plastic Surgery at Concord Hospital, and as a registrar in Anatomical Pathology. He holds Advanced Certificates in Skin Cancer and General Dermatology from the Australasian College of Dermatologists, and is currently furthering his expertise through a Master of Medicine in Skin Cancer at the University of Queensland. Outside of the clinic, Dr Chow is a keen football (the round-ball kind) fan, a devoted dog lover, and enjoys cooking and travelling in his spare time.

Dr Shravya Pilli

Dr Pilli is a graduate of the University of NSW with a Bachelor of Science (Honours), and a Doctor of Medicine. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Pilli has an interest in all aspects of skin cancer and surgery, training at courses with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. Outside of work, she enjoys rock climbing, running, hiking and travelling.

Dr Michelle Penm

Dr Penm is a University of Sydney graduate in Medicine & Surgery, and also holds Certificates in Paediatrics and Sexual & Reproductive Health. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. Dr Penm's practice involves all areas of skin cancer medicine. Away from work, Michelle enjoys swimming, travel, and spending time with her children.

Dr Beng Leong Tan

Dr Tan has an interest in all aspects of skin cancer and surgery, and is a clinician at the Poche Centre Melanoma Institute of Australia. Outside of work, he enjoys bushwalking, computers, motor racing, classical music and musical theatre.

Dr Adrian Quek

Dr Quek graduated with Honours from University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery, and also holds a Certificate of Dermatology from Monash University. He was a clinician at the Sydney Melanoma Unit, and is currently at the Poche Centre Melanoma Institute of Australia where he assists clinical trials. He is a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. Dr Quek is married to A/Prof Robyn Saw and is a deacon in his church. He dabbles in computers, loves skiing through light powdery snow under blue sunny skies and sharing good food with friends.

Dr Karen Hing

Away from work, Karen enjoys fine dining, travel and bushwalking.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and was a past Assistant Director of GP Casualty Balmain Hospital. Dr Young’s practice involves all areas of skin cancer and surgery. His outside interests include home renovation, cooking, skiing, tennis and spending time with his wife & children.

Dr Kathryn Soddy

After a wonderful career of practicing skin cancer medicine, I am writing to share that I have retired. Serving as your doctor has been an absolute privilege. Thank you for your trust, your warmth, and for allowing me to be a part of your health journey over the years. I will deeply miss our connection.
As I take this next step, I want to reassure you that you remain in fantastic hands. I wholeheartedly encourage you to continue your care with my wonderful colleagues here at the clinic.
