S-Plasty
S-Plasty is a surgical technique involving an S-shaped incision to close skin defects. It redistributes tension across the wound, minimising puckering, dog-ears, or distortion of nearby structures (eg eyelids, lips). This method is especially effective in areas with limited skin laxity, such as face or over joints, and enhances cosmetic outcomes by aligning scars with natural skin lines.
